footing
If you are at the level of try flip tricks or trying new ones remember this. It is all muscle memory so you need to try your foot in different spots until you find your sweet spot. When the board is flipping you may find that it will spin to fast or to slow. If your flipping to slow keeping inching your foot down till you find the right footing for the flip speed. If its too fast then keep bringing your foot up. Also try your foot in different depths of the board. For example: heel flip, you can try with your toes hanging off or to the point that just your heel is on. I have seen either work. Or you can try bringing your toes in further onto the board. I can set my feet up in kick flip position and pull off a heel flip. So I hope this helps, good luck and keep trying.

The Best Set Up
People need good equipment to learn skating. The expensive stuff like spitfire wheels, krux trucks, speed demon barrings, and a board of your choice. The best store for this is CCS because you can build your own board.

Music mixed with skating
Music helps you when skating, the concentration is higher and you have fun listening to your favorite music. It helps you stay calm when you cant get a trick so that you don't take it out on the board like i used to.
Balance
Balance is one of the main factors to becoming a skilled skateboarder. Me personally, i think that getting balance comes from taking time to ride your board around until you feel safe and to do things in steps because if you cant even balance whats the point in confusing your self when you cant do tricks. It just makes it harder on your self. I know that it took me at least a couple months before i realized that i was well balanced. Another thing that helps is when your riding around try manuals, that works great. If you try just riding around and you fall a lot its okay, everyone falls. When you fall you don't notice it but you build on your skills by learning what not to do. Some of the falls might just be from a crack in the sidewalk so don't beat your self up or your board because it just happens, even to professional skaters.
